The 7th capital!!
What about Quito? Nice town, of course, better than Lima and actually competing with Santiago, Chile. Santiago wins, but nice try anyway...
How is it different? Appart that is clean and has lots of beautiful colonial buildings, it has it's own network of metro (not a real one, but just a system of trolebuses that have inside stations and private part of the street) and a really nice colonial centre with many interesting and attractive
The first day we quickly visited the center of the town and dedicated the rest of the day to exchange books in order to put our hands on a new guide, for Central America. It was hard and it took us all afternoon, but we finnaly managed to find one!!!!!!
What else did we do? Well, we took the teleferico for a great sight of the city and met Chichi. Borja cooked that night and impressed all the ladys of the house. In return, they scared us with bad news about Colombia and how dangerous it is.
The last day we met Gustavo, from Borja´s master programme and we had a nice chat. Again, he scared us even more doubling the danger of crossing Colombia from border to Cali. He was really happy for his newly born daughter, Amalia.
