A place to rest
Our plan was going great, we saved 2 days and were going to use them in Cancun. But we lost those days as I got sick the next day we stepped the salvadorian land. Lucky us, Jasmine, Borja´s friend that lives in San Salvador invited us to her house. There we took it slow, awaiting for my organism to recover. That is why in Salvador we only saw 2 or 3 things from the total planned.
First we saw 'La palma' a beautiful village full of craftsmen. Almost all the walls of the houses were painted in vivid colours with different motives. Very nice to see during the day.
Then, in San Salvador, even though we have been warned many times not to go to the centre of the city because it's dangerous, we saw a weird church (iglesia del Rosario) that looked like an archade. Spooky looking people or normal ones were praying inside.
And the last thing we visited was another small village close to a volcano, called Suchitoto. Of course, it had a crater lake. Very quiet and filled with colonial old houses, it makes the delight of the tourists looking for tranquility.
Tomorrow we are leaving to Guatemala City as I am feeling much better.
